Customised Recycling Programs

Hills Commercial Group has created many recycling programs to increase recycling and reduce the environmental impact our Clients produce through waste and various other services. For our Clients to fully commit to “Going Green”, first off, all Staff, Faculty and Students need to work together and commit to this common goal. Without everyone chipping in and doing their part, this recycling initiative can’t succeed to its fullest potential.

To Reduce Waste We Must First Understand It

For example, schools often produce tremendous amounts of waste with instructional materials, used electronics and food. One estimate is that approximately 24% of a school waste is recyclable paper and approximately 50% is food waste and non-recyclable paper that can be composted. But faculty and students can work collaboratively to reduce the amount of waste produced. Getting students and faculty involved in recycling at school is good for the environment, educational and can be a lot of fun. Educating our children about the importance of recycling provides the country with a path to a greener future. As children learn about recycling, they will be more likely to carry these habits into their adult years. They also will learn how their personal actions can affect the future.
